The presidential election is likely to take place on 28 September, a Saturday, according to "Deshaya."
Quoting reliable sources, it said the Election Commission will make the official declaration of the election next week.
As per the law, the presidential polls should take place on a date between 17 September and 16 October.
The Election Commission told party representatives at a recent meeting the date would be set around two weeks before the 16 October.
That is to allow for enough time to issue the final result in the event voting has to be held again at any polling booth due to any violations.
