Incumbent Ranil Wickremesinghe’s presidential election campaign is due to commence today (18).
The programme that marks its launch will be on the theme of ‘Mey Welawe Ranil Thamai’ (It is Ranil at this moment).
According to government sources, Wickremesinghe is to announce his candidature within days.
