President Ranil Wickremesinghe extended an offer to restore Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa's banned United National Party (UNP) membership if he assists in the Government’s recovery effort.
The President Wickremesinghe emphasised his efforts in steering the country away from economic crisis and expressed readiness to collaborate with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
President Wickremesinghe stipulated one condition: the disclosure of funding sources for buses procured for Sajith's schools.
The rally, organised by Mahindananda Aluthgamage, a Kandy District Member of the ruling party, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), was held at the Kandy Public Market Complex yesterday (14).
