The drugs menace as well as the underworld have not been abated despite boastful remarks by the police chief and the public security minister, charged MP Patali Champika Ranawaka.
Both say the underworld would not be pardoned and an operation called ‘Yukthiya’ being carried in order to safeguard their positions, Ranawaka said.
He was speaking at a public meeting at Gunasinghepura in Colombo Central on 12 July.
