The cabinet has approved a multi-sectoral national action plan for 2024-2028 for the elimination of sexual and gender-based harassment in Sri Lanka.
This will be part of policy involvement to ensure the rights of women, men, children, and all diverse groups to live in a fair social environment free from violence.
Ministers approved the proposal presented by president Ranil Wickremesinghe, in his capacity as the minister of women, children affairs, and social empowerment in this regard.
