The United National Party (UNP) made key appointments for its election campaign at a meeting of its working committee at Sirikotha yesterday (02).
With party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe at the chair, Harin Fernando was appointed the national election organizer.
Ravi Karunanayake is the UNP's national secretary and Ronald Perera serves as the deputy general secretary of elections.
In other appointments, Firdouse Farook was made the party’s treasurer, Misbah Sattar as deputy chairman and Krishan Theodore as deputy general secretary.
The working committee also decided that deputy leader Ruwan Wijayawardena, general secretary Palitha Range Bandara, chairman Wajira Abeywardena, national organizer Sagala Ratnayaka and deputy leader Akila Viraj Kariyawasam would continue in their positions.
