Italy’s ambassador Damiano Francovigh is pleased with the progress of ‘Yukthiya’ operation being conducted by Sri Lanka police.
He met public security minister Tiran Alles at the latter’s office yesterday (13) and said he was closely monitoring the operation.
The ambassador also said that from 01 June, Italy will issue visas in collaboration with VFS, said the ministry in a statement.
The two discussed improving the issuance of police clearance report as well.
