The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will have further discussions in the coming week with regard to the four persons proposed as its presidential candidate, said party sources.
Out of the nominees, the focus is said to be on entreprenuer Dhammika Perera.
SLPP general secretary Sagara Kariyawasam said they were not in a hurry to announce their candidate.
Meanwhile, SLPP founder Basil Rajapaksa met president Ranil Wickremesinghe on 09 May, their sixth meeting since the former arrived from the US.
