Police will halt operations of its divisions with a low productivity and use their personnel and resources for ‘Yukthiya’ operation against the underworld and drugs, said IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon.
The operation will be intensified two-fold after the New Year, he said.
IGP Tennakoon was speaking to traffic policemen in Colombo district at a meeting yesterday (14).
