The Black Cap Movement that had been active since Aragalaya at Galle Face green has been disbanded on a decision by its politburo.
Its activists are now involved with various political parties.
The convener, Hemapriya Kaviratne, is the political secretary of the United People's Party (UPP) led by minister Tiran Alles.
The announcement comes in a statement issued today (09) by the movement on the 2nd anniversary of the Aragalaya.
