Sri Lanka is not in need of a Taliban-style rule, said FPC leader Dullas Alahapperuma yesterday (28).
Speaking to journalists at his head office, the MP said only such a rule would deny the freedom of assembly as shown by the imprisonment of FSP leaders for holding a protest.
Alahapperuma also said Sri Lanka is in danger of becoming yet another Haiti, where the rule of law is in grave threat.
Taking a cue from government politicians who have become alarmed by court verdicts against them, the underworld is hunting down judges who issue orders against it, he said.
