The TPF led by Manio Ganeshan has welcomed the programme for the country presented by Patali Champika Ranawaka’s URF.
The two parties met at the former’s Pamankada home yesterday (29) for deliberations.
They agreed that a common alliance was needed for the programme’s implementation.
For his part, Ganeshan presented a set of proposals on behalf of the upcountry Tamils.
The URF has previously discussed its programme with the SLFP, UNP, SJB, FPC and FUTA.
Both Ganeshan and Palani Digambaram stressed the need for important contributions by a capable and experienced leader like Ranawaka in building the country.
The URF leader said the proposals by Ganeshan for upcountry Tamils would be given due consideration.
