Gotabaya Rajapaksa was a victim of his own family who wanted him expelled from presidency, said Dilith Jayaweera, a key figure behind his election.
The leader of Mawbima Janatha Party said so in an interview given to ‘Ranabanu with Masters’ YouTube channel.
Jayaweera said that together with 6.9 million people who voted Rajapaksa to power, he firmly believed him capable of making a change and creating discipline in the country.
But, he ended up a victim of his own brothers, who had no love for the country, but had personal needs and objectives only.
