Isolez Biotech Pharma had obtained human plasma from the National Blood Centre for its local production of immunoglobulin.

Its owner Sugath Janaka Fernando alias Aruna Deepthi had got it approved by the Health Ministry secretary, saying the blood was needed for a research it was conducting.

According to president of the Health Professionals Association Ravi Kumudesh, the National Blood Centre had provided 150 litres of blood to Fernando’s company.

Meanwhile, social media activist Lalitha Hewagamage, in facebook post, called for a CID investigation into this.
