A remembrance has taken place at Jaffna Hospital for 68 patients and staff who were killed in an attack by Indian peacekeepers 36 years ago.
At the function, participants paid floral tributes and lit lamps to commemorate the dead.
Indian soldiers carried out a series of attacks in October 1987, with one targeting the Jaffna Hospital that killed patients and medical staff.
They included three doctors, three nurses, a telephone operator, an ambulance driver and two overseers.
