President Ranil Wickremesinghe has engaged in a fiery interview with Germany's Deutsche Welle, firmly asserting that Sri Lanka would not entertain the notion of an international inquiry into the Easter Sunday attacks.

He challenged the perceived western attitude towards the nation, asianmirror.lk reported.

The interview came in the wake of recent revelations by Britain’s Channel 4, which have sparked international discussions regarding the need for a comprehensive investigation into the attacks.

In a candid and assertive exchange, Wickremesinghe challenged the interviewer's line of questioning, asking, “Does the UK or Germany have such inquiries? You think we are second class? Take this Western attitude out. You are talking nonsense. I have been in this game long before you.”
