A Tamil social activist from Trincomalee has been asked if he was working for the revival of a proscribed organization.
Paulraj Rajkumar was summoned to the district’s TID office at 9.00 am on 21 September.
After giving a statement, he said in a facebook post that he got accused of organizing protests against the government.
Rajkumar said he asked them in return if they could prove a single charge against him, made on the basis of information given, he was told, by a key security arm of the government.
He said he was also informed that the files on him would be sent to the Defence Ministry.
Rajkumar has been voicing concerns against alleged grabbing of land owned Tamils in the east.
