Parliament has a new deputy secretary general and chief of staff in lawyer Chaminda Kularatne.
Secretary general Kushani Rohanadeera has made the appointment of the experienced administrative officer.
Kularatne is a former additional secretary to ex-president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, secretary to the prime minister and secretary to the chief government whip.
He is also one-time minister counselor at the Sri Lankan high commission in London.
A past student of Rajasinghe Central College in Ruwanwella, he graduated in business management and administration from Colombo University and Buckinghamshire University in the UK.
