The Pivithuru Hela Urumaya will do anything to topple the present regime, but will never betray the country or the heroic soldiers on the basis of Channel-4 television’s lies, said its leader Udaya Gammanpila.
Speaking to the media today (13), he said that as the opposition, they would attack the government and the Rajapaksas, but its responsibility was to refrain from causing damage to the country by those attacks.
Many forces are attempting to use the British TV channel’s falsehoods on the Easter Sunday attacks to their advantage, although they are disputable and contradictory.
Azad Maulana, the alleged whistleblower is a character who has sold himself for money, and it would be the end of the country if international investigations are conducted on the basis of claims by such a person, he said.
Those who call for an international intervention, knowingly or unknowingly, serve the terrorists who waged the attacks and delay justice for the victims, Gammanpila added.
