The new political alliance led by the SJB is at talks with the SLPP breakaway faction headed by Dullas Alahapperuma to get it into its fold, reports said.
A SJB spokesman said he hoped the Alahapperuma faction would be a partner in a broader alliance that will be formed soon.
The SJB is already allied with the groups led by Rauff Hakeem, Rishad Bathiudeen, Mano Ganeshan and Palani Digambaram.
