The Ministry of Public Administration will inquire into the distorting of the national anthem at the inaugural ceremony of Lanka Premier League 2023, said ministry secretary K.D.N. Ranjith Asoka.
In a statement, he said its changing by any manner is against the constitution.
It is unfortunate this has happened on an occasion in which the country’s is in international spotlight, he added.
The Sri Lanka National anthem was sung by Umara Sinhawansa who is being accused of distorting the lyrics at the LPL opening ceremony.
