A former Kotte municipal councilor has been remanded on a charge of having shown his private parts to a female school principal inside Welikada police station.
Denzil Padmasiri had been summoned to the police on a complaint by the principal that a group including him had insulted the school via the internet.
Police informed the Colombo magistrate’s court that a settlement had been reached between the two parties, when the suspect had removed his dress and showed his private parts to the female principal.
On a complaint by her, the man was arrested and produced before courts.
He has been remanded until 07 July.
