Government medical laboratory technologists say they will resort to union action from Wednesday to protest a female microbiologist in the National Hospital in Colombo who creates trouble for them.
Their association informed the Health Ministry’s secretary in writing on 08 July the specialist in question was disrupting their duties and making false accusations against them.
Despite many previous representations to authorities regarding the matter, there is no change in the situation.
The association said they will strike work on Wednesday and stay away from duties from the following day.
