A resolution on domestic debt restructuring was passed at a vote by parliament yesterday (01) following a day-long debate.
The proposal received 122 votes in favour, while 62 opposed.
Leader of the House Susil Premajayantha presented the resolution to the House.
Earlier, the cabinet and the COPF approved the DDR proposal.
It proposes to restructure 19.8 billion US dollars out of a total debt of 83.67 billion USD, including 42.1 billon USD of domestic debt.
