The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is looking to initiate disciplinary action against MP Vadivel Suresh after he voted in favour of the motion moved by the government to remove the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL).
SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara said that the party will decide whether to initiate action against the parliamentarian today.
SJB MPs Kumara Welgama and A.H.M. Fowzie also voted in favor of the motion.
The motion to remove PUCSL chief Janaka Ratnayake from its membership was passed by 46 majority votes in Parliament yesterday (24).
