A writ petition has been filed in the court of appeal seeking an order for the protection of the life of Nadun Chinthaka Karunaratne alias ‘Harak Kata’.
His father, Nelson Mervyn Wickramaratne, has filed the petition which cites the public security minister, defence secretary, IGP, DIG (western province), director of the CID and others as respondents.
Wickramaratne previously went to the Human Rights Commission over the safety of his son, who was deported from Madagascar.
