Police have been ordered to prevent finance and leasing companies from seizing vehicles over defaulting loan repayments.
Pursuant to the order by public security minister Tiran Alles, the IGP has issued a circular that requires the companies to go to court and take over vehicles as per the law.
Police should enforce the law against seizing vehicles, it says.
Furthermore, police should accept complaints in this regard.
