Plaques with the names of LTTE members who died at war were unveiled to mark the commencement of Maaveerar Naal in Jaffna on November 21.
The 34 tablets containing more than 20,000 names were uncovered by the parents of two of the deceased.
Organised by the TNPF, they will be on display until November 27, when Maaveerar Naal is observed.
At Jaffna University, students paid floral tributes to a newly-painted memorial yesterday (22).
