The United Kingdom has added Sri Lanka to the ‘Red List’ of destinations that require hotel quarantine on return to England.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has advised against all but essential travel to Sri Lanka, based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risks.

"From 4am on Tuesday 8 June Sri Lanka will move to the red list for entering England," the FCDO announced on Thursday (03).

Afghanistan, Bahrain, Costa Rica, Egypt, Sudan, and Trinidad & Tobago have also been added to the Red List apart from Sri Lanka.
