The Central Bank has suspended several of its officials over accusations that they were involved in the CB bond scam some years ago.
Its governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe confirmed it, but declined to give details since an internal inquiry was under way.
divaina.lk quoted him as saying the investigation was in progress as per instructions given by the attorney general.
