Former cabinet minister and SLFP Colombo district leader Faizer Mustapha has unequivocally endorsed Ranil Wickremasinghe as the most qualified candidate for the presidency.
Speaking at a press briefing held today (17) in Colombo, Mustapha stressed the critical importance of electing Wickremasinghe, highlighting his ability to deliver on promises, particularly in stabilizing the economy and implementing essential economic and social reforms.
"Ranil Wickremasinghe has not only demonstrated unparalleled leadership but has also taken decisive steps to guide the nation through turbulent times," Mustapha stated.
He underscored that unlike other presidential contenders, Wickremasinghe’s proven track record positions him as the only candidate capable of driving sustainable development and fostering unity across all sectors of society.
Mustapha noted with concern that other minority parties have neglected the needs of their constituencies in favour of self-serving political manoeuvring.
In contrast, Wickremasinghe has consistently prioritized the national interest, making his leadership indispensable for the country’s future, he added.
