The Inland Revenue Department has recorded a remarkable growth of the total tax revenue collected from January to August 2024 amounting to Rs. 1,229,245 million.
In comparison to the total tax revenue that was collected from January to August in 2023 which amounted to Rs. 956, 418 million, the Inland Revenue Department has achieved a significant increase by 28.5 percent amounting to Rs. 1,229,245 million for the same period in 2024, the Inland Revenue Department stated.
