The U17 tournament match between Nalanda College, Colombo, and Mahanama College, Panadura, concluded with a resounding 8-wicket victory for Nalanda College at the Nalanda Grounds yesterday (7).
After being put into bat, Mahanama College struggled, managing only 35 runs. Santhul Wijeyarathne delivered an exceptional performance with the ball, taking 5 wickets for just 9 runs in 7.5 overs. His outstanding bowling effort was instrumental in restricting Mahanama, as none of their batsmen reached double figures.
Nalanda College chased the target of 36 runs in just 5.5 overs, losing only 2 wickets in the process.
