Several public sector employees will engage in trade union actions today (24), due to various unresolved issues, primarily concerning salaries.
Education and Non-Academic Employees Union, led by Secretary Ajith K Tillakaratne, announced island-wide union action by non-academic school staff starting today, based on several demands.
Meanwhile, the University Trade Union Joint Committee has announced a discussion between the University non-academic employees who are currently on strike, and the State Salary Committee, scheduled for tomorrow.
