A Sri Lanka-born Norwegian woman has alleged that she was the victim of human trafficking.
Lodging complaints with the CID and the National Child Protection Authority, Priyangika Samanthie said the Salvation Army in Colombo had handed her over to her adopted parents on false documents.
Her mother, whom she met after long years, had told her that she never gave her consent for the daughter’s adoption.
Samanthie has spoken to ‘Sandeshaya by Saroj’ YouTube channel about her intention to raise the matter of foreign adoption rackets with the Norwegian parliament.
The channel plans to continue reporting her fight as an anti-adoption activist.
