In a dramatic turn of events, Mujibur Rahuman, a prominent member of the Samagi Jana Balavegaya, has made serious allegations against former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara and others.

Speaking in Parliament, Rahuman claimed that Nanayakkara, along with an associate named Aslam, visited a suspect at Welikada Remand Prison three days ago. The suspect has been detained for five years in connection with a crime.

Rahuman alleged that Nanayakkara and Aslam promised the suspect a house in Colombo, a car, financial incentives, and assistance in securing bail in exchange for a false statement implicating Rahuman in a crime.

Rahuman emphasized that he possesses evidence of this meeting and plans to submit it to the Colombo Criminal Investigation Department.

"This is a very serious situation," Rahman stated. "I don't know if Manusha Nanayakkara or Ranil Wickramasinghe has any desire to remand me or harm my life. I am not just talking; I am talking with evidence."

Rahuman further accused Nanayakkara of extensive corruption, claiming that the former minister extorted significant sums of money from women seeking employment abroad.

He alleged that Nanayakkara charged 75,000 rupees and 90,000 rupees to send women overseas, including to Israel.

Rahuman also mentioned that Nanayakkara owns an apartment in Havelock City and a restaurant on Queen Street in Colombo, acquired through corrupt means.

"We know he has taken more land. We haven't talked about this for so long. However, he will have to go to remand after the twenty-first for stealing the money of the innocent women of this country," Rahman asserted.

He noted that even during the investigations into the Easter Sunday Terror attacks, there were attempts to link his mobile number to the series of events, and to frame him as well.

Rahuman also recounted his political activism during Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's tenure, including his involvement in the "Gotagohome" movement.

He expressed concerns for his safety and requested the Speaker's intervention to ensure his security as a Member of Parliament.
