Independent presidential candidate Ranil Wickremesinghe has submitted an acceptable programme instead of mere election promises, said former minister Ravi Karunanayake.
Speaking to the media, Karunanayake said Wickremesinghe has been able to implement what all the others dream about.
“What is needed now are not election promises, but an acceptable programme,” he said.
Karunanayake explained the steps taken for the betterment of public sector employees, and noted the president has taken measures to guarantee their future.
“What is important is not introducing policy manifestos, but implementing them,” added Karunanayake.
