‘Kura Handeni Viyakena’ by Nobert Ayagamage has won the Swarna Pustaka award for the best Sinhala novel at the 16th awards presentation by Sri Lanka Book Publishers Association.
The awards were presented at the BMICH on 08 September, with Prof. Praneeth Abhayasundara at the chair.
Ayagamage also received a Rs. 850,000 cash prize.
Also present at the event were chairman of the association Samantha Indiwara Samarasinghe, head of Fast Publishing Prem Dissanayake and executive director of Sampath Bank Ajantha de Vas Gunasekara.
