The prevailing unity among the 13 female parliamentarians from the ruling and opposition parties has become a matter of interest.

The reason is said to be a foreign tour, offered by the government of New Zealand to the female MPs caucus to study that country’s parliamentary system and women in politics.

State minister Geetha Kumarasinghe is taking the lead in organizing the tour, which begins on 24 July and goes on till 04 August.

These days, the female MPs are busy with their wardrobes in preparation for the tour.
