World fottball's governing body FIFA has suspended the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL).
In a circular issued to all 211 member countries worldwide, it stated that the FFSL has lost all of its membership rights until further notice.
This also means that neither the FFSL nor any of its members or officials may benefit from any development programmes, courses or training from FIFA and/or the AFC.
It is reported that the suspension comes in the wake of third party interference on Sri Lanka Football as the Minister of Sports had deviated the agreed roadmap and interfered in the Jan 14 FFSL elections.
