Anura Priyadarshana Yapa has been appointed as leader of the SLPP breakaway faction of MPs masterminded by Nimal Lanza.
The former minister will lead the group’s delegation to the SLFP convention on 03 September, Lanza told ‘The Leader.’
Yapa is one-time general secretary of the SLFP too.
Lanza added that his faction with more than 30 MPs are supportive of the government led by president Ranil Wickremesinghe.
