The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has decided to take disciplinary action against its MP A.H.M. Fowzie for going against a party decision.
SJB MPs had been given a ‘three-line whip’ strict instruction by the chief opposition whip not to support the resolution on the IMF’s extended fund facility at yesterday’s (28) vote.
However, Fowzie voted ‘yes’ in support of the resolution.
He was appointed through the national list, succeeding Mujibur Rahman, who resigned from parliament to contest for the local government polls.
