Leader of the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) Mano Ganesan has admitted having initiated an effort to bring the UNP and the SJB under one umbrella by talking to president Ranil Wickremesinghe and opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
“But the subject of ‘premiership’ never popped-up in our discussion," Ganesan tweeted.
“We suspended the initiative when SJB failed to respond,” the TPA leader added.
Meanwhile, in a statement, he dismissed claims by certain media that the president had offered, through him, the premiership to Premadasa.
