A CID team is due to leave for Madagascar today (11) to bring back two Sri Lankan criminals under arrest in that country.
Led by ASP Mihindu Abeysinghe, the group also has another ASP from the STF and two chief inspectors.
The arrest of Nandun Chinthaka alias Harak Kata and Salindu Malshitha Gunaratne alias Kudu Salindu along with six others following an Interpol red alert came as they were leaving Madagascar on February 12.
It was officially intimated to the Foreign Ministry on March 08.
