Hundreds of relatives of missing Tamils marched in Kilinochchi today (20) demanding an international investigation into crimes by the state.

They marched from Kandasamy temple to depot junction, while also turning down Rs. 200,000 offered by the government as compensation, reported Journalists for Democracy – Sri Lanka.

The agitation coincided with the completion of six years of a nonstop vigil by relatives of the missing persons in the northern and eastern provinces.

It is the longest running protest ever in Sri Lanka against state criminality and demand for justice, JDS added.
