A motion to request the expeditious hearing of the writ application filed by a retired Army colonel, W.M.R. Wijesundera, needed not be supported, his lawyers informed the Supreme Court today (20).
Thereafter, the court ordered the application that seeks a postponement of the local government polls be taken up on February 23 as scheduled.
