Rice mill owners have ruled out a Rs. 100 per kg price for paddy in the presence of a certified price imposed by the state.
They had a discussion yesterday (16) with president Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat with regard to their problems.
Owner of New Ratna Mills, Mitrapala Lankeswara, said such a price would be a relief for the farmers.
Opposing, Dudley Sirisena said they deserved a much better price.
