Former president Gotabaya Rajapaksa is to leave for Myanmar tonight (16) on a 10-day private visit.
According to sources at his office, Rajapaksa is making the visit at the invitation of several social organizations in that country.
His wife Ayoma and private secretary Sugeeshwara Bandara will be accompanying him on the visit.
Incidentally, Bandara’s brother J.M. Janaka Priyantha Bandara is Sri Lanka’s ambassador in Myanmar.
