Sandya Ekneligoda spoke to the media in Colombo on December 19, with 4,710 days gone by since the enforced disappearance of her journalist-husband Prageeth Ekneligoda.
She commented on her being named among the BBC 100 women of 2022 and the investigation into Prageeth’s disappearance.
According to her, the then opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe telephoned her and promised to assist in finding her husband.
The worst experiences she underwent in the long struggle for justice have always gave her strength, she added.
