More than 9,300 police personnel are to be promoted to their immediate higher rank, according to a cabinet decision.
From constable to inspector, 8,312 male and 1,005 female officers will get their long-overdue promotions accordingly.
Ministers approved the relevant paper submitted by public security minister Tiran Alles.
